Lowell is a family doctor in private practice who makes housecalls to seniors. As the other co-author of The Complete Idiot's Guide to Quitting Smoking, he also enjoys jiu jitsu, cooking, and hiking in Yosemite.

 Brandon is an honor roll student who wrestles, does jiu jitsu, plays the trumpet and enjoys photography. His specialty is african greys, senegals, and conures.

 Autumn is a straight-A student who loves gymnastics, dance, and lacrosse. She also writes her own songs, plays, screenplays, and short stories. Her specialty is cockatiels and parrotlets.

 Justin is an honor roll student who is also on his high school wrestling team. His specialty is conures.
